This issue of GAI+LISVA Magazine features Nauja Fellah. We are inspired by Nauja's mindset when it comes to nature and the way she leads her life: she tries to be mindful and slow down in an otherwise busy world.
About Nauja Fellah
Nauja was born and raised in Greenland and describes herself as "a child of nature". She grew up in a traditional community which gave her a strong sense of connection and interdependence with nature. From a young age Nauja has learnt to show gratitude and respect for all living things and only take what you need.
Since she was a little girl Nauja has been able to sense and feel energies in nature and has had a connection with the non-physical world. She finds calm and joy when spending time in nature, channelling her healing powers and doing creative projects.
"It's like it's somehow always present and flowing through me."
When Nauja moved to Denmark to study she encountered a very different kind of society which took some getting used to. She found it to be a very rule-based society with a strong focus on prestige and the mental side of things, but it also offered many opportunities.
Today, she works as a makeup artist and also teaches and performs healing massage. Nauja loves her job as a makeup artist because she gets to travel, see the world and work together with different teams, but she also loves coming home and immersing herself in healing and therapy.
"Being able to pass on my abilities through teaching and inspiring others is a matter very close to my heart. It is important to me to live a life where everything I do comes from deep within – a life where my work is a continuation of my passion and not something I need to take time off from."
Energies in clothing
Nauja believes that everything consists of and is energy: "I believe that everything is energy."
"All the things that we consume and surround ourselves with are imbued with an energy which has an influence on us."
This could be the food and drink we consume, the place we choose to live and the media and content we expose ourselves to.
Nauja also senses energy flows in clothing. According to Nauja, clothing can radiate good or bad energy.
"This is why I really love GAI+LISVA. I feel the good energy when I wear it. It feels like being embraced by love and wholesomeness. I also love the timeless design which can be used over and over again. They've thought of everything – from quality raw materials to ethics and sustainability.
I believe that this mindset is the future in clothing. We must be mindful of how we treat each other and Mother Earth."
